Almost 2 a.m. Sunday morning as I'm writing this. Got back 20 minutes ago from Hershey, where I saw the Bears eke out a 3-2 win (2-1 shootout).
Refereeing? Fucking atrocious--and that's being lenient. Tripping calls (Bears players being tripped, that is) right in front of me, and the ref not even looking at the play!!
Sloppy play on the Bears' part, but...it's still a win nonetheless.
(The picture, btw, is of the mascot Coco. I snapped it during the 2nd intermission.)
Being a lifelong Caps fan--and by that, I mean SINCE THE FRANCHISE BEGAN!!--I guess I needed a place to devote space to writing about them. Oh, and for the record, Joe Beninati coined the title of this blog in describing Ovechkin's sliding-on-his-belly goal a few years ago against Phoenix. Apt description, AIN'T IT?
